A former Aide De’ Camp to Ambassador Fidelis Tapgun, the second civilian
governor of Plateau state, was early Monday, August 8, burnt to death
with his three children. Retired ASP Anthony Kwanmi, was burnt to death
with his children, Theresa, Emmanuel and Kerry, in the fire which
consumed his house at the Jenta Adamu community of Jos North local
government area of the state.
The incident reportedly happened at about 1.30am just after the Nigeria
vs Sweden match and was believed to have been caused by an electrical
fault. The police public relations officer of Plateau state command, ASP
Tyopev Mathias Terna, confirmed the incident adding that the distress
call was received at about 3am.

Our men and fire fighters help in
putting out the fire. Unfortunately one Mr Kwanmi, a retired police
officer and 3 of his children lost their lives in the inferno; while his
wife and one family member are currently receiving treatment in the
hospital,
